Special Education Resources
It is very important to include and encourage special needs children to participate and learn both inside and outside of the classroom. Three websites that I found to be useful for special needs students, teachers and parents are:
1. cookie.com - this website includes many fun games that work on important skills such as phonics and language, two skills that every student needs in order to succeed in the classroom.
2. http://www.bullyingacademy.org/default.cfm?Page=Students- this is a very informative website that teaches parents, students and teachers about bullying and how to prevent it.
3. http://www.learntobehealthy.org/health-education/games-and-activities.aspx -- this website would be more for parents and teachers due to the amount of written information is contains. This is important for special needs children to keep them active and exercising often. Learntobehealthy.org provides lesson plans and activities for teachers and parents to use with their students.
